Who can register to vote in Virginia?

To register to vote in Virginia, you must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be a Virginia resident
  • Be at least 18 years old on the day of the next election
  • Not have been convicted of a felony without having your rights restored
  • Not have been adjudicated mentally incapacitated with respect to voting in Virginia
