Georgia

To register to vote in Georgia, you must:

• Be a U.S. citizen
• Be a Georgia resident and of the county in which you wish to vote
• Be at least 18 years old on Election Day
• Not be currently serving a conviction for a felony 
• Not have been found mentally incompetent by a court

Georgia does not offer same-day voter registration, so be sure to submit your voter registration before the deadline.

• The deadline to register to vote by mail, online, or in person is October 7.

To vote in Georgia, you must present one of the following Photo IDs:

• Any valid state or federal government-issued photo ID, including a free ID card issued by your county registrar's office or the Georgia Department of Driver Services
• A Georgia driver's license, even if expiredStudent ID from a Georgia public College or University
• Valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of this state
• Valid U.S. passport ID 
• Valid U.S. military photo ID containing a photograph of the voter
• Valid tribal photo ID containing a photograph of the voter

Voters without ID may be able to vote provisionally
