Who can register to vote in Arkansas?

To register to vote in Arkansas, you must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be an Arkansas resident
  • Be at least 18 years old on the day of the next election
  • Not have been convicted of a felony without having your rights restored 
  • Not have been adjudicated mentally incapacitated with respect to voting in Arkansas

Can I register to vote on Election Day?

Arkansas does not offer same-day voter registration, so be sure to submit your voter registration before the deadline.

What are the voter registration deadlines?

To register to vote by mail or in person, your registration must be postmarked or received by October 7, 2024. There is no online voter registration. 

What do I need to bring to vote?

An election official will ask you to state your name, address and date of birth.
The election official will request for you to provide an approved form of ID

If you registered by mail after January 1, 2003 and did not submit the required ID with your voter registration application, you may be required to show ID to vote a regular ballot. 

Types of additional ID, which must show the name and address of the voter, include:

  • A current and valid photo ID
  • A current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document.

Voters without ID may be able to vote provisionally.
