Over 34,000 Swifties gathered around the [zoom table!] for our inaugural kickoff call on August 27, 2024 and wow did we have a marvelous time! During the call, we raised over 144,000 dollars for the Harris-Walz Campaign, and generated a significant voter registration wave encouraging 41,000 people to check their registration & 27,000 to send registration referrals to their friends and family!
The speaker list included Senator Ed Markey, emphasizing the significant role Swifties can play in this election; Senator Elizabeth Warren, speaking about her admiration for Swifties’s resilience and authentic joy; and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand encouraging all of us by proclaiming “Swifties can play a huge role in this campaign because no one organizes like Swifties!” And wait there’s more! We were also lucky enough to be treated to a special, Shake it Off surprise song performance by the one and only Carole King!
We heard from our incredible founders and executive team as well as highlighted three amazing political organizations, spotlighting how Swifties can help their efforts dedicated to getting out the vote this November 5! And the best part?! One of these programs, Fan Out!, includes a way for Swifties to be entered into a Sweepstakes to win Eras Tour tickets in Toronto!
